Dr. Kristen Matsik says in the last 20 years, there has been an 80% increase in women over 50 - and that women now spend 40% of their lives in menopause.
Despite those startling numbers, menopause is still a subject few talk about, and Dr. Matsik is passionate about opening the lines of communication and ensuring women aren't needlessly suffering in silence.

& is North American MenopauseSociety Certified Menopause Practitioner.

With 4 in 10 adults suffering from anxiety and depression between March 2020-January 2021 - up from just 1 in 10 pre-pandemic - employers are searching for ways to help their employees deal with the mental health challenges.
The DFW Business Group on Health partnered with the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute in its Lone Star Depression Challenge.
The goal of the challenge is to reduce the stigma and incidence of depression in the workplace by increasing access, screening for depression, and leaning in to resources like EAPs and Employer Resource Groups.

After losing 9 people to untreated mental illness, Cloud 9 Telehealth Founder & CEO, J.C. Adams, was determined to build a system that could improve outcomes for those at risk for mental health issues in underserved communities.
Cloud 9 Telehealth is a digital platform that connects those at-risk with providers, social services, and first responders.
By providing access to the care and resources the vulnerable need, they're more likely to avoid the being unnecessarily hospitalized or incarcerated. For first-responders, having access to data about the person they're going to encounter allows them to appropriately prepare for the situation.
The results of Cloud 9's work are astounding - including a 632% return investment, and a 22% decrease in mental health crises ends in the emergency or jail.

As Director of the Perinatal Trauma-Informed Care Clinic at Allegheny Health Network, Dr. Vogel combines her expertise as an obstetrics anesthesiologist and a trained sexual assault counselor to serve moms-to-be and new moms in a caring and compassionate way.
She works with patients who have experienced trauma ranging from rape, childhood and domestic violence, to miscarriage and scary birth situations.
Dr. Vogel takes a holistic approach to trauma-informed care by working with patients and providers.
With patients, she works to provide context, familiarity, and options.
With providers, she trains them to recognize trauma, prevent new trauma, and provides steps to compassionately treat patients and build trust.

The field of genetics continues to grow and evolve, and Dr. Neena Champaigne is on the forefront of pediatric genetics.
Dr. Champaigne’s passion for Punnett squares in 9th grade lead her to a career as a clinician where she helps patients every day.
At the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Champaigne serves as an Associate Clinical Professor and is the Division Chief of Pediatric Genetics.
She’s particularly passionate about newborn screenings, which sometimes detects illnesses in babies who may not otherwise be diagnosed until symptoms appear (which could be too late) to receive life-saving treatment.
